Games:
Bat Tag: The student that lands on this space is set in the corner of the room and blindfolded. All of the other students then have 10 seconds to find a spot in the classroom to hide. (It can be standing around the classroom, hiding under chairs, however the teacher deems safe and fun for the level of students playing) After the teacher counts to 10 the students must stop in their spots and not move. The blindfolded student then has 30 seconds to walk around the room blindly trying to find as many students as possible. For each student found he/she earns 10 points for their team. After the teacher counts to 30 the game is over and points awarded. (3 children found 30 points, 5 children found 50 points etc.)
*This game is a silent game, no children may talk to assist the blind student
*If it is a very young class you can have all the students sit on the floor, and the "It" person must crawl on the floor to find children. (so the student can't fall down and get hurt)
*This Can Also be played as the TEACHER is "IT" and must find the students. In this way the teacher carefully searches, and the team that the teacher finds the most students from is the winner, and the team that the teacher finds the fewest amount of students is the winner.
*Example youtube video is below
Bat Sounds: The student that lands on this space is set in a chair in the middle of the room and blindfolded. The students from the opposite team then stand up and stand around the blindfolded student. The teacher will then point to one student at a time to make a noise of some kind. If the blind student guesses who it was that made the noise, he/she is awarded 10 points. The teacher will allow all students from the opposite team to make at least one noise.
Bat Ball: The student that lands on this space is set in a chair in the middle of the room and blindfolded. The student is given a ball and will be given 3 chances to throw it to try to hit a student. All other students silently walk around the blind student with the ball. The teacher can count down from 5 if need be to speed up the thrower to throw the ball. If the blind student successfully hits another student with the ball he/she is awarded a green money card.
*This is also a silent game, if students are being loud, or stomping their feet then have them sit down.
*Example youtube video is below
*All of these games are silent (except when a student makes a noise for the bat sounds game)
*Bat Tag is the funnest game of the 3 so it is on 2 spaces
*If their are too many students to take part in these games, then only students whom are behaving well may take part.
