3. Inside/Outside
4. Red/Black
5. "Ace"
6. All In!!! Sit on Face
Students role the dice to decide which card game will be played.
Games:
1. Over/Under: Teams make two lines in front of the teacher. The teacher will put a card on a chair or table and ask one of the students if the next card will be over or under the shown card. If that student is correct they win and go to the end of their line. If incorrect they sit down. The teacher will alternate from team to team until there is only one student left. That student wins 10 points. *To make fair start with the team that did not roll the dice so the odds are slightly against them.
2. War: Teams make two lines in front of the teacher. The teacher will put one card for each student on the chair. The high card is the winner. The winning student goes to the back of the line to play again, the Loser sits down and is "out". The game continues until there is one student left. That student wins 10 points.
3. Inside/Outside: Teams make two lines in front of the teacher. The teacher will place two cards face up on the chair. One at a time students will guess if the next card will be inside or outside of the 2 showing cards. (Ex. Showing Cards King and 7... 8 would be inside... 4 would be outside) The students alternate from team to team playing with winners going to the end of the line, and losers sitting down until there is a single winner. Award 10 points.
4. Red/Black: Teams make two lines in front of the teacher. The teacher will ask one student at a time if the next card will be red, or black. The student will choose a color. The teacher then shows the card, if the student was correct, they go to the end of their teams line to stay in the game, if the student was incorrect, the student sits down and is "out". The teacher alternates the game between teams until there is one student left. The winner earns 10 points.
5. Ace: Teams make two lines in front of the teacher. The teacher fans out the cards face down on the chair. Students alternate picking one card at a time looking for the "Aces". After they choose a card they return to the end of the line. Students continue to alternate choosing cards until all the "Aces" are found. Each "Ace" found earns 10 points.
6. Sit On Face: Students stand in a circle around the teacher so that they can all see what cards the teacher will put on the chair. The teacher will put cards on the chair face up one at a time at a decently fast pace. When a "Face Card" hits, students must all sit on the floor as fast as possible. The last student is "Out" and sits down. All students then stand up and continue the game. The game is played until there is only one student left. That student wins 10 points.
*This game is the most active/crazy game. I gave students the choice to gamble "All in" on their points for this game. So if a team Won they would double their points. If they lost they would lost all their points. It is up to the age and understanding of the class. Young students should just have 10 points to the winner, as gambling is not quite understood and frowned upon.
*These games are all fun because its quick and all students get to play. Obviously, if students are not behaving, or they cannot stand nicely in line just have them sit down and be "out". Be sure to kick some children out of the game at the beginning so they realize they must stand nicely in lines in order for the game to go quickly and efficiently.
