Fast and Fun Team Building
Required: Dice

2: Human Pyramid
3: Leap Frog
4: Letter or Number
5: Buddha Circle
6: Flying Race
Students roll dice to determine which game to play. These games are all easily explained and played requiring nothing. Once the dice is rolled students race to complete the task without waiting, the first team to complete the task wins 10 points.
*All these games should be explained before playing. The point is that these games are instantly played after the dice is rolled with no help from teachers. Students must work together and pay attention to win.
Games:
1: Switch Teams- Students must race to sit in the same order on the opposite teams bench. The first team to be sitting nicely in the same "mirrored" order wins 10 points. Then when the teacher says go, they can race to sit back in their seats in proper order again. The fastest team to return can win 10 points also.
2: Human Pyramid- The team to make the best pyramid using their bodies wins.
*Just explain that students use their bodies to create a pyramid, and make sure they understand what a pyramid is. Allow students to figure out the rest, you will be surprised at what some children do to complete this.
3. Leap Frog- Students must all jump over "ONE" frog (student) from their team and then sit down.
*This is amusing because teams must work together to quickly choose a frog and jump over quickly. Many times all boys will dive on the floor to be the frog, and not work together.
4: Letter or Number- The Teacher will quickly say a Letter, or a Number. Students must then quickly work together to make that letter or number on the floor using their bodies with all students from their team, or all but one student. (no fair for just one student to lie on the floor to make the letter O, or number 1) Fastest team wins 10 points.
*If very difficult maybe make a hint that it would help to have a leader student place children on the floor and move them around.(I find it better to let kids just work it out and learn to work together)
5: Buddha Circle- Teams must race to meditate in a circle making meditation moans and groans. Students found this hilarious, Its not very competitive, so to win points after a minute of meditating and laughing, when the teacher says sit down, the team that sits nicely and quietly first is the winner of 10 points.
6: Flying Race- Students must take one student from their team to the black board, and back to their seats without touching the ground.
*Depending on kids this can be great, or very dangerous. I didn't say originally what I thought were the best ways to do this game and kids often did some pretty odd ways of getting one student back and forth without touching the ground. If a class attempted a dangerous way of moving a student I stopped them and gave them a more appropriate way to play without killing someone. Ex. young kids could ride a student like a horse across the floor, or piggy back rides if a bit bigger...
*The fun of this board game is that all kids play often and its quick and fun. Some take more team work than others, so most had a great time playing twice. There are a million other rules that can be made also, so you can make it appropriate for all ages and levels.
