Stampede
Required: Dice, 12 Magnet Pieces in two different colors (Green and Orange in the picture)
Board Game: 8 X 8 grid on the board
Game:
Each team has 6 playing pieces. After each Drill have one student from each team play paper scissor stone to roll the dice. The winner then rolls the dice and may move any of their team's playing pieces. Playing pieces can move only vertically or horizontally in one direction. (If the piece reaches the outer wall that is where it stops) The idea of the game is to run over the other team's playing pieces. Each playing piece that is run over earns the team a point. After running over a playing piece, the team that ran them over may move the other teams playing pieces to any spot on the board.
I explained that each playing piece is a bull and they are running madly around the pen trying to run over other bulls. The game is never ending and students are capable of hitting multiple bulls in one roll. As this is a very simple game, children should be rolling the dice quite often. For a round of the game you can have each student from each team play paper scissor stone against each other having the winner roll the dice, in this way all children play paper scissor stone each round and half of the students play the board game. OR After a student has completed an English task they may roll the dice and play as the teacher continues teaching.
