Trash Ball: This Game is very simple and fun for young classes. The classroom is split into two halves. Each half of the classroom represents their house. When the teacher throws the balls (Trash) onto the classroom floor the game begins. Students must sweep, kick or toss the trash balls into the other team's house area. Students must stay in their own house area throughout the game. When the teacher shouts “stopppppp” in a loud, prolonged shout, then opens his/her eyes the game stops. If the teacher spots anyone throw a trash ball after the "stop" call that team loses. If both teams abide by the rules, the teacher then must count how much trash is on each side. The team with the most trash in their housing area loses. The winning team is awarded 10 points.
*Many students try to get the last balls out of their area during the “stop” call. So it is much easier to catch a late toss and award a victor. (Hence closing eyes while yelling stop and then opening eyes to catch a late toss)
This game can also be played as the teacher is a policeman trying to catch students throwing trash in their neighbor's yard. In this way the teacher should stand facing away from the students with a whistle. When the teacher blows the whistle, he/she then turns quickly to catch a student throwing trash. If a student is caught they are out of the game. In this format the teacher should be stopping the game very often and quickly to catch students in the act of throwing trash. This can be made more difficult and have students freeze and not move if the whistle is blown. Any students caught moving are then out. The team that loses all its players first is the loser, the other team is awarded 10 points.
*Both games are fast and fun for many young ages.
*The trash can be represented by anything (Balls, Balls of paper, toys…Below in the Picture i used lightweight cloth balls))
*Be sure that students do not throw trash overhand, if it could cause an injury
