There will be 4 questions about the topic. One student from each team will have that question to debate. The winner will get a point for their team. After each question has been debated we will have extra questions for anyone to answer and debate. At the end the team with the most points is the winner and gets a prize.
Students must study reasons why they are correct for their debate, and also think of what the other team may say, and how to respond to the other team.
Have students sit in front of the class in two chairs, with a table or third chair between them. When they finish there thoughts they can hit the table or chair in between them and say "BOOM" as a signal that they are finished and the other student may begin talking. This will make the debate a bit goofy, and also keep it moving quickly back and forth. If students are getting off track, or losing steam, stop the debate and move on to the next question and next 2 students.
