Required: Dice, Ball
Icons: Star: Starting space, Choose a spot on the board Thief: Steal all points from the other team Best Friend Ball: Game Jump Ball: Game Quick and the Dead: Game Typhoon: Erase all points from both teams Games: Best Friend Ball: The student that lands on this game gets to choose his/her "Best Friend" from their team to play together. As seen in the picture one of the students sits on a stool next to a wall with the dice over their head. The other student stands across the room and must throw the ball and hit the dice. If the student hits the dice with the ball they are awarded 5 points. If the student misses they are awarded nothing. After the throw, the two students switch spots and try again. *To be awarded points the student with the dice on their head must not move at all during the throw *This game was a big hit as it was pretty hilarious and scary for some Jump Ball: Older Students: All students stand in a circle. The teacher has a ball to start the game. Students must pass the ball while jumping in the air. If a student catches, or throws a ball while touching the floor they are out. The last student is the winner. If a ball is poorly thrown then the thrower is out. *If this is too easy for students many other variations can be played... *Students must say the name of the student they are throwing to *Students must say boy or girl depending on who they are throwing to Bounce Ball: (Substitute of Jump ball game for younger classes) Younger Students: All students stand in a circle. The teacher starts with the ball. The teacher calls a students name then bounces the ball in the middle of the circle as high as possible. The student that was called must then catch the ball. Then that student calls another students name, and bounces the ball in the middle of the circle as high as possible. If a student is called and doesn't catch a catch-able bounce then they are "Out". If a student continually throws impossible bounces then they are "Out". The last student standing is the winner. :**For youngest students just passing the ball and saying names quickly might be difficult enough Quick and the Dead: The student that lands on this space must lie on the floor with their hands spread out touching the floor in a "T" shape. The teacher stands above the student with a ball at an appropriate distance above the student's head. The teacher then drops the ball without notice and the student must quickly catch the ball. If the student can catch the ball, he/she is awarded 5 points. *For younger students hold the ball above your head *For older students hold the ball around chest level, or lower to make it more difficult *This can also be played with 3 drops from high, medium and low, in order to be awarded points |
