Students spin a pin or bottle on the floor. The 4 games on the board game correlate to which direction the pin or bottle points to when it stops. (4 corners of the room) Depending on Time, and how many children are in the class, the teacher can have all students take a turn at the chosen game, or just the team that spun the Pin.
Games:
Darts: Students each take a turn to throw a dart at the dart board for points. The Points go from 1-10 points instead of 10-100.
Shuffle Board: Students each take a turn to throw a bean bag at the shuffle board grid for points.
Soccer: Students each take a turn to kick a ball at the soccer goal grid for points.
Cards: Students each take a turn to guess which card the teacher has. (The teacher has the deck of cards so no one else can see) For very young students I allowed 3 guesses so that many students could win. (50%) For older students that had a better grasp of how to play I only allowed 2 guesses. After each guess I, tell the student if the card is "Higher or Lower" than the card they guessed. If the student guesses the card correctly the student wins 25 points.
*For students unfamiliar with "a little" and "a lot" this is also a good way to teach these words (A little higher, or a lot lower)
*For older students I liked to tell them "a little higher or lower, or a lot higher or lower" and they must decide for themselves if I am telling the truth or lying.
