Maze Craze
Setup:
Create a Maze on the board where students may roll the dice and choose which way to proceed depending on what number they have rolled. Each team has their own playing piece to move. Colored BOLD Walls on the grid are un passable, so students must go around. If a team reaches the "exit" and wins they are awarded 50 points and may start again.
Icons:
---->3: Go back three spaces
+10: Win 10 points for your team
+50: Win 50 points for your team
*: Move that teams playing piece to any other * they want
Bomb: Start over at the beginning
Double Arrow: Switch Places with other teams playing piece
*Both of these start on the bottom Right of the grid. The picture on the left starts on the Star spot, the picture on the right starts where the maze has an opening.
*As this game has a choice of different ways to proceed, And children can be quite indecisive… If a student does not move relatively quickly then count down from 5 to 0. If the student doesn't make a decision by then. As a teacher (and by the style of the class) you can choose the worst space, or the best space for that student quickly, then move on.
