Roll the dice to relate which game to play. The games can be explained as you go. Once all games have been explained and played then students may instantly play once the dice has been rolled. The winning team is awarded 10 points.
Games:
1.) Human Knot: Each Team stands in a circle and must join hands. (inter-crossing the circle and having the hands of 2 different students) When the teacher has inspected both circles to be sure that they are fully knotted up, the teacher says go and its a race to undo the knot. The first team to successfully undo the knot is the winner.
2.) Sentence: Each team is given a piece of chalk. The two teams must race to right a sentence on the board writing one word per student. The first team to finish a sentence is the winner. Each student must write at least one word.
* The teacher can stipulate what kind of sentence to be written
* The teacher can make it a question, and answer to make it more difficult
3.) Charades: One student from each team goes outside of the classroom and is told something to act out. When the students enter the classroom the game begins. The students are not allowed to speak, only act out the word or phrase. The first team to guess what is being acted out is the winner.
4.) Spelling Bee: This can be done in many ways, so I will write a few down starting with the easiest and finishing with the most difficult
* Students from each team are given words to spell. The first student to incorrectly spell a word is the loser the other team is the winner.
* Both teams are given an impossible (new word that's very difficult) word to spell on the board. The first team to get the correct spelling is the winner.
* The teams must spell out words by saying one letter per person. The team that spells a word incorrectly is the loser.
* The teams must spell out words backwards by saying one letter per person. The team that spells a word incorrectly is the loser.
5.) Spin Moves: One student from each team will stand in front of his/her team. When the teacher says go a relay race begins where each student must run towards their teammate, do a spin move around him/her touch the opposite wall, then return doing a spin move again around his/her teammate and sit down. Then the next student goes. The team to complete this relay race first is the winner.
6.) Crazy 8: Students from each team make a line with enough space between them for a student to run through them. When the teacher says go, one student from each team must run through his team in figure eights from the beginning of the line, to the end, and back to the beginning. When the runner is finished all students must then race to their seats. The first team to complete this and sit nicely is the winner.
**Once all of the games have been explained then some of the games can be started as soon as the number on the dice has been shown which makes the game more fun. (Spin Moves/ Crazy 8)
